Jonathan Taylor Thomas (Randy Taylor):

As the middle child of the Taylor family, Jonathan Taylor Thomas played Randy, the intelligent and mischievous son. During his time on Home Improvement, he also became a teenage heartthrob with appearances on covers of teen magazines Home Improvement Cast.

Taran Noah Smith (Mark Taylor) – What happened after his role as the youngest Taylor son

After eight successful seasons on Home Improvement, Smith’s character Mark Taylor was written out of the show as he grew too old for the role. This marked the end of his acting career as he made the decision to step away from Hollywood and focus on other things.

One of those things was his education. Despite being a child star, Smith had always prioritized his education and continued to do so after leaving Home Improvement. He attended high school while still filming for the show and later went on to study at USC School of Cinematic Arts.
